Law No. 21,719 updates the personal data protection regulations in line with international standards, creating the Data Protection Agency, which establishes principles for data processing, and strengthens the rights of data subjects.

Companies have 24 months to implement the necessary changes in their compliance systems, with penalties that may reach up to 20,000 UTM.
