Our founding partner, Felipe Díaz Toro, took part in the panel organized by AFP Capital and Diario Financiero, on “The Pension Crossroads: Alternative Assets vs. Stock Tender Process.”
The discussion provided an opportunity to address the challenges of pension reform from different perspectives, alongside fellow panelists Silvia Fernández, Country Manager of BlackRock Chile, and Jaime Casassus, Professor at the School of Economics and Management of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
During the conversation, Felipe emphasized that, in implementing the reform, it is essential that the regulatory framework remain aligned with the logic that underpins this type of fund. Otherwise, it could lead to higher legal costs and distribution barriers—ultimately discouraging their presence in the local market.
