Ann Bruggeman

Director International Affairs

Ann Bruggeman is the Director of International Affairs of EDN Abogados and was previously an international associate at EDN Abogados and Palma Edwards Veszpremy. She has experience in Corporate Law, Joint Ventures, Mergers and Acquisitions, Immigration and European Labour Law.

She is a Belgian and Luxembourg lawyer with more than 17 years of experience in international business transactions. She worked in Luxembourg and Belgium at Loyens & Loeff, one of the largest Dutch business law firm of Benelux. Since 2020, she is also the CEO of the Chilean Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce A.G., in Chile.

She is a Board Member of the Belgian Chambers abroad. In 2024, Ann was recognized by Forbes Luxembourg for her leadership and impact in green energy. She currently sits on the Women's Committee of the National Chamber of Commerce of Chile and the Civil Society Council of the Undersecretariat of International Economic Relations of the Chilean Government.

Most recently, she was honored as a Knight of the Order of the Crown by the King of Belgium in recognition of her contribution to Belgium's presence and influence from Chile.

Representative Experience

  • Represented PRADA HOLDING, Miuccia Prada and Patrizio Bertelli for the restructuring and migration of the PRADA group, PA BE 1 and BELLATRIX from Luxembourg to Italy for EUR 500 M.
  • Represented SIGNET JEWELLERS in the bond issuance and corporate financing of the group for a total of USD 1 B.
  • Represented PEPSI in several acquisitions made for the group.
  • Represented STELLA ARTOIS in the shareholder restructuring.
  • Represents French and Belgian clients in their implementation in Chile and corporate matters related to their investments and structure.
  • Represents Chinese investors in drafting and negotiating environmental investment projects throughout Chile, particularly in solar panels, wind panels, and desalination plants.
