Ignacio is a partner and head of the Tax Law practice at EDN Abogados. His practice focuses on tax consulting for Chilean and foreign companies, tax evaluation of corporate restructuring processes, asset acquisitions, development of investment structures in Chile and abroad, organization of family-owned businesses, and resolution of tax disputes in both administrative and judicial forums, among other areas.

Before joining EDN Abogados, Ignacio was a senior manager at EY and a partner at Bruzzone y González Abogados.

He is also a professor in various postgraduate tax programs at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (LLM UC) and Universidad Andrés Bello.

Representative Experience

Advised several publicly traded companies on general tax consulting and national and international reorganization processes, involving jurisdictions such as Luxembourg, Switzerland, Spain, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and various Latin American countries (Argentina, Peru, Colombia, Uruguay, Paraguay, Mexico, Brazil, among others).
Currently serves as tax advisor to various companies in the food industry (e.g. Ideal S.A.), evaluating both domestic tax matters and organizational structures.
Regularly advises high-net-worth families, assessing national and international structuring strategies and their tax implications for both current owners and future generations.
Lecturer in leading postgraduate tax programs and frequent speaker on current tax issues.
